The Top 10 Los Angeles Car Searches

By: Chris Roberts

There are millions of people in Los Angeles. And there are millions of car searches. If you live in Los Angeles, having a car is a necessity. Taking a look at the most searched for cars will give you an idea of what other car hunters, like yourself, deem to be the best cars.

Here are the top 10 cars in Los Angeles: 1. Los Angeles Toyota, 2. Los Angeles Honda, 3. Los Angeles Chevrolet, 4. Los Angeles BMW, 5. Los Angeles Ford, 6. Los Angeles Mercedes Benz, 7. Los Angeles Lexus, 8. Los Angeles Acura, 9. Los Angeles Nissan, and 10. Los Angeles Dodge.

1. Toyota Los Angeles

If you searched for a Toyota in Los Angeles last month, you were not alone. Search results show that over 350,000 people searched for Toyota Los Angeles last month. If car searches are any indication of sales, then people bought more Toyotas than any other car in Los Angeles.

2. Honda Los Angeles

Honda trails Toyota on this list by only 40,000 searches. Approximately 310,000 Los Angelinos looked for Honda Los Angeles. It appears more and more Los Angeles car buyers are turning to the Japanese Giants, Honda and Toyota.

3. Chevrolet Los Angeles

Chevrolet Los Angeles is the most searched for American car on the Los Angeles list, blowing away its closest American rivals Ford Los Angeles and Dodge Los Angeles. But it's still only number three on the top ten list of cars. Just under 300,000 searched for Chevrolet Los Angeles. So even though it's not number one or two on the list, it still beats seven other car companies on this list.

4. BMW Los Angeles

In the land of rich celebrities and millionaires, big ticket automobiles are in high demand. At the top of the list of luxury cars is BMW Los Angeles, the fourth on the list of most searched cars in Los Angeles. Though they're a little more pricey than the top three, BMW Los Angeles makes a strong showing at 275,000 searches.

5. Ford Los Angeles

The second American automobile maker on the list is Ford Los Angeles. But with 240,000 searches, it only rises to number five on the list of Los Angeles car searches. They have a solid lineup of cars and are in the process of rebuilding their company.

6. Mercedes Benz Los Angeles

185,000 Los Angelinos searched for Mercedes Benz Los Angeles. These were enough searches to squarely place Mercedes Benz Los Angeles as the second most searched for luxury car.

7. Lexus Los Angeles

Seventh is Lexus Los Angeles. Lexus, Toyota's luxury division, mustered 142,000 searches. This is surprising only in the fact that Toyota earned the top spot. It seems that Lexus Los Angeles doesn't draw in as large a crowd as top luxury dealers BMW and Mercedes Benz.

8. Los Angeles Acura

115,000 folks searched the web for Honda's luxury division, Acura Los Angeles. Look at Acura's lineup for recent facelifts and upgrades. Like its competitor Lexus, Acura Los Angeles lags behind its less extravagant sister Honda Los Angeles.

9. Nissan Los Angeles

The last Japanese car on the top 10 list is Nissan Los Angeles. Although they make decent cars, they garnered only about 90,000 searches from Los Angeles car hunters, substantially less than Toyota Los Angeles' 350,000 searches and Honda Los Angeles' 310,000 searches.

10. Dodge Los Angeles

Clinging to the number 10 spot is Dodge Los Angeles. Dodge is the last of the American automakers to make the list. Fewer than 85,000 people searched for Dodge Los Angeles last month. Based on the American automakers' struggle in the past few years, the number ten spot is still decent for Dodge Los Angeles.

Those are the most searched for cars in Los Angeles. These trends may or may not represent actual purchases by customers. However, the give an accurate portrayal of car customers' interests in Los Angeles. Again, the top 10 searched for cars in L.A. are: Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet, BMW, Ford, Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Acura, Nissan and Dodge. Happy car hunting.
